The main reason behind Mobile Apps 2012 was to bring together the various components of the mobile services ecosystem in Mauritius to brainstorm and define strategies for the growth and strengthening of these services.

We will all agree that the ecosystem of mobile services in Mauritius is ready, more smartphone and tablets are being sold and many developers are already active. The next step would be to get content providers to start taking a more important part in the ecosystem and support developers to innovate, promote and sell their apps locally.

This is where Mobile Monday Mauritius gets in, it can take this responsibility and advocate for the development of mobile services in Mauritius through networking, education, cooperation, training and financing.

Mobile Monday can directly receive the support of more that 140 Mobile Monday chapters around the world.

The first meeting will be held on Monday 5 March 2012 at 17:30 on 4^th Floor of Ebène Height at the Cyber City, Ebène, office of Samsung Electronics.
